Hew Griffith

Just picked up one of my precious issues of 'World of Interior, this one dating from 2006.

I always make new discoveries, even when browsing through the same issue over and over again.

This time, I felt compelled to read the article 'New Way Mirrors' on the artist/designer/antiques-man' Hew Griffith.

He has won a following for his re imagined vintage creations—mirrors made from 19th century french frames with faded vintage fabric inserted behind the glass, a collection of silver nitrite bottles and whimsically painted furniture. I shall have to find out more about how to get one eventually.

Andreas Bennin

This coming Saturday is the opening of the Master -Degree show at the Art Academy here in Oslo.
My guess is that Andreas Bennin will be the 'must see'. The exhibition is on for one week only..

Kalle Grude

Norwegian Artist Kalle Grude's spectacular studio in Grunerløkka. Went to see him with the editor of Design Interiør, the lovely Anne Lise Gjetvik. Everything here has had an earlier life, and is being re-used. Next issue of Design Interiør will be presenting his artistic work, which also includes the houses where he lives..
